MeeKai is a 9 month old Alaskan Klee Kai in Bal Harbour, FL, who needs $2,000 for Hybrid Balloon Aortic Valvuloplasty (BAV).

MeeKai was born in Colorado, I drove 4 hours to get her. Our bond was instant. Even a gf from Colorado, later the SAME day I got her, said to me: "We have 15 ppl in the house, & the min you speak, MeeKai recognizes you & goes crazy for you, She knows you are MOMMY" I flew to FL 2 days later, next day went to VET, & find out she was a born with DEFFECTIVE heart. Vet suggested to give back, but

MeeKai is a 7-month Alaskan Klee Kai presenting multiple congenital cardiac defects. 2 echocardiogram in 3 months, reveal severe aortic stenosis, with a hypoplastic annulus. The aortic annular area is calculated to be 0.57 cm², resulting in an approximate 86% stenosis of the aortic outflow. The orifice is reduced to roughly 1/7th of its normal size. There is severe (3+) aortic insufficiency.

MeeKai is very loving, she gives so many kisses to Mom & I every Morning and night. She guards us, she barks at strangers that she doesn't like. After having 2 other beLOVED doggies, She is special, MeeKai is alert and smart. She's a great companion and full of life, and wanting to play with other dogs, but we don't allow it due to her heart condition.
