Sweet Mei Ling has been through so much. She was originally trapped in Miami as part of a TNVR (trap-neuter-vaccinate-return) effort — but rescuers soon noticed something was very wrong with her eye. What they thought was a simple infection turned out to be much more serious.

Mei Ling’s eyelid is actually fused to her eyeball, leaving her in constant pain. Her eye is always watery and prone to infection, and she urgently needs surgery to determine if she still has vision in that eye and to relieve her discomfort.

This gentle girl was rescued by Beyond Nine Cat Rescue, a small, volunteer-run rescue that never hesitates to step in for cats like Mei Ling — even when medical costs are high. But they can’t do it alone.
