I rescued Mel in 2021. She had 2 families before she blessed me with her love. According to her microchip she is about 12-13 yrs old. Mel is an senior dog that still has the energy in her to go out and play. She still has spunk in her for a more years. Mel name is short for Melanie. It was a name given to her by 1 of the 2 families she was with before, so I kept it because she answers to it.

She had her first seizure Dec 3rd. Vet said it might have been something she ate or due to her age. There were no prior medical issues and basic tests were done. She now has had a second seizure this month and I would like to get her the care she needs and medications. We usually go to Abby Pet Hospital but am willing to go to another pet hospital if they're able to provide the proper care

Mel has a sister named Duchess that she loves to hang out with. She loves going on walks and exploring the outside. Not a big fan of getting her paws wet though. She loves to get pets and treats. She is wary of men but once she warms up to them, she's quite loving

As of last year (2024) I became displaced and am having financial issues. We have been moving around trying to find an affordable place to live. I was in an abusive relationship and once I was able to get out, it unfortunately cost me to lose my apartment
