Mel is a 7-year-old Shar Pei in Miami , FL, who needs $2,000 for Surgery- Mass Removal.

At first, I used to pet sit Mel, she would come to my house and stay for the weekend. One day her previous owner couldn’t have her anymore since she had anxiety separation and tried to scape home. The person contacted me for help as they said people were complaining and wanted to took Mel from them, they did it know what to do and I said -I’ll take her without thinking twice.

Mel LOVES to sleep on rugs/yoga mats/towels or anything that does not belong to her that’s sitting on the floor lol she also loves to sit in the balcony and watch the neighbors and the rain. Also she loves to sit on people’s feet and meet my friends, they all also love her

She is so funny and smart. She knows how to sit, lay down, give her paw, wait… and she also know the right time to do so she can get an extra treat. Her facial expressions are the best, she totally can express how she’s feeling and communicate with us.

She came to me having a lot of skin issues, after going to the vet and getting the right medication, looked like was all good. But she also had a mass on her ear area that was starting to show and out of nowhere it grew a lot and it needs to be removed asap as it’s starting to smell really bad and it bleeds a lot. Her vet is the best, at Wags Animal Hospital and I trust them 100% with that

This is just a sudden major expensive for my fixed income, I tried to found other ways to get this surgery done but unfortunately nothing worked. I just want to get this mass removed so Mel can have a comfortable life again
