Mellie is a 11 year old Mix-Breed in Berkeley , CA, who needs $2,000 for Patella Luxation.

Mellie was a gift from her previous owner who could not take her to a rental that didn’t allow pets. She was 1 year old when I got her. She’s so sweet and friendly with people and other dogs.

The doctor at St. Louis veterinary said she has a patella laxation which requires surgery. He referred us to OakVet Animal Hospital which gave a $7000 estimate. I’m retired on a fixed income and just can’t afford that and don’t want to put her down.

Mellie is so beautiful. She had a little brother Marley who started having seizures and she would sniff and cuddle with him after our hospital visits. When we lost Marley she was so sad it broke my heart. A friend gave us a 7 month old Chihuahua and she loves him. They sleep together.
