Mellow is a 8-year-old Maltese in Hartford, CT, who needs $1,675 for Cystotomy..bladder stone removal.

I never thought I would have a small dog like Mellow all my life I had pit bulls. I decided to purchase Mellow when I was living in california with my ex husband. He was military so I left everything to move with him and needed a friend. Now me and Mellow live with my parents. Mellow is my only baby.

Mellow is what I call a social butterfly. Mellow loves everyone though she is a little worry of smaller children since most kids think shes a puppy shes been picked up and squeezed a few times. My parents treat Mellow as my child since she is realistically my only baby. My dad brings her for walks everyday and mellow even sleeps in his room.

I definitely want to get this surgery done as soon as possible to avoid any further complications. However, I am saving up to move since my parents are retiring and moving to p.r. by end of sept 21. I have applied for Grant's and am waiting to hear back.

I brought Mellow to her vet at East Hartford Animal Clinic on 7/02/2021 for her annual exam and vaccinations . My vet found that her bladder was hard and suspected bladder stones. We did a x ray and found she does have bladder stones. My vet explained to me that she needs surgery before she has a complete obstruction and will be unable to urinate.

Mellow is of course special to me as I treat her as my own child. During my divorce mellow was the only thing that made me smile especially after a long day at work. Everyday i walk in from leaving no matter how many times when I open the door there she is wagging and jumping to give me kisses. Mellows favorite game is fetch she always impresses new people with her great fetch skills.
