About this campaign

One fateful day Ben brought a little palm sized puppy home from work. About 3 years ago we introduced my wife, Holly into the family. Melody currently has one kitty sister (Daisy) and one puppy brother (Spud). She is affectionately known as Melly Belly or Mel’s Bells.

A few months ago Melody developed a sore on one of her toe pads. Despite us keeping it clean and bringing her into our trusted vet at Hickory Small Animal Hospital, the sore would not heal. Following a biopsy of her toe pad, we found out that the toe was cancerous and needed to be amputated to prevent the spread of her cancer.

Melody is the epitome of a lap dog, she loves to cuddle, and she is a great source of emotional support. She enjoys lying on the sofa, and watching scary movies with us. Melody also loves her daily walks around our apartment complex, meeting our neighbors and catching up with her friends at the dog park.

Less than a year ago we lost three family members, including a father, an aunt, and most recently a grandmother. All of which have caused financial complications. Melody’s swift recovery will allow her to get back to her job as our resident ESA and snuggle buddy.
