On April 1st 2016 my husband and I were blessed enough to get an invite from a neighbor to come pick out a puppy, this seemed to be perfect timing as my husband had lost his other dog 6 months prior that he was extremely attached to, so if pure excitement I ran up to a pin that had eight puppies and instantly my husband and I both at the same time picked Menace, I had never had a big dog so little did I know just how big he would get so fast but he has stayed my baby for 7 and 1/2 years

Little did I know that maybe I had rushed into trying to fulfill the void of my husband's dog that had passed so I took on the complete notion that Menace would be mine however my husband would argue that fact when I say that Menace is my best bud that's truly what he is however I think sometimes he believes he's my protector and I'm the baby he has a great temperament with people and is always wanting us to know that he's doing his job of being on guard and that he's a serious dude he absolutely loves people and has never once met someone that he did not like

I would have to say that whether he likes the five feral cats is definitely up for debate he owns a whole entire side of our yard and takes extreme Pride in his 180 ft by 40 ft area that he considers an absolute no fly zone he makes a great fishing partner for my husband and just loves to be around us. He never complains and just truly takes Pride in being his humans good boy, at all times

At 7 and 1/2 years old I have to say he's pretty healthy For an upcoming senior citizen except 4 months ago what looked like a blood blister came up on the outside of his sheath under his belly, this what seems so innocent blood blister grew massive in a number of weeks then it busted open and looked horrible now is awful as this may be I've never been able to take my menace to the veterinarian for regular checkups as I didn't think he would had any ailments but this aggressive mass or tumor has taken a a path of its own I've tried to put antibiotic ointment on it and done everything I could to try to get it to heal it just wouldn't go away so I made the appointment at Viewmont Animal in Hickory North Carolina and was given a two-week antibiotic to give Menace and then to come back for a recheck which was done yesterday November 9th 2023 and to my surprise it was $310 to get pre-operation vaccines I'm in a desperate situation now as $892 was the lowest amount they could show me to have this removed and that is without ever sending it off to see what it may be but at this point I just want him to have the rest of his years pain-free and without any Mass on him and I don't know where to go and what to do for him but I have got to be his voice to try to get the help he needs

Our financial situation is only a month to month ability to pay for our everyday needs as my husband works an hourly pay job and pretty much takes care of everything on his own and I have been not much help to him ever since I lost my patient that I was sitting with and have just had a hard time mentally and physically at bringing in any type of income that would be helpful to him so here we are with no rainy day back up and my dog whom we love has to suffer because we can't get ahead it's not my dog's fault and that's what's bothering me I know it's been hard on everyone with everything going up in price and cost and everything else we have just been I low income family from the beginning and I would never ask for support for myself however I have to avoiceforMenace
