Mercedes is a one-year-old Pit Bull in Ypsilanti, MI, who needs $700 for emergency surgery.

Roshayla W. is going through a hard time this holiday season. She and her dog, Mercedes, are in a tough predicament!

Mercedes needed emergency surgery for a sudden prolapse, and Roshayla could not afford it. "I was involved in a domestic dispute, and my work equipment was broken during it, so I lost my job," Roshayla tells Waggle. "I didn't want her to suffer, so I took her to the veterinarian and will be forced to surrender her if I can't pay for the procedure by a certain date."

Right now, Roshayla is frantically trying to raise the money to pay for the procedure, so she doesn't lose Mercedes. "It would mean the world to me to have Mercedes back home!"

Mercedes means everything to Roshayla, she even sleeps in bed with her. "Mercedes loves walks," Roshayla says. "We have a trail by my house near the water; Mercedes loves walking over there. Her favorite thing to do is cuddle and sleep."
