Merlin is a 8 month old Borzoi in High Point, NC, who needs $2,000 for Diagnostics/Potential surgery.

Merlin is my best friend; we do absolutely everything together. Merlin came to me around three months old, and I've fallen in love with his sass and gentle nature. He's only a baby, but the best dog I've ever had. We plan to participate in the Hounds of East Fairhaven when he is old enough; a nonprofit sighthound group that educated festivalgoers about these unique breeds of dog.

Merlin woke late early October 6th in incredible pain, on a Sunday. Without our vet open on Sunday, we were forced to take emergency measures. Diagnostics have risen to extreme costs and we still have to consider money for possible surgery. While the vet doesn't suspect gastric tortion or bloat, Merlin's stomach is in a considerable amount of pain.

Merlin is such a sweet and gentle boy. He plays well with his sister, Sadie, and loves meeting both other people and dogs. It's hard to ignore his silly 'stink faces' or a prod from his long goofy nose. He loves to watch TV and is planning to go as a wizard for Halloween.

Though I try to have a reserve of money put aside for Merlin medically, I never could have imagined the cost this visit could have placed on us. I am a college student and restaurant employee. Merlin is the light of my life, and getting us through this would mean the world.
