Merrick is a 13 month old Russian Blue in San Diego, CA, who needs $2,000 for Oncology/Surgical, CT Scan, Chemo, Radiation.

Merrick was only 5 weeks old when I found him through an ad on Craigslist for a whopping $20. I rescued him from a run down home in Lakeside with 6 dirty kids in a dark living room with 4 pit bull puppies on the couch. No mama cat or litter to be found. He immediately fit right in with Sage & I and I cant imagine what life was like before he came into it. He's the BEST $20 I've ever spent!

Merrick has been a patient of El Cerrito Veterinary Hospital. Until recently he has only been to the vet for routine care. In June he was diagnosed with a rare tumor of the sweat gland. After Xrays, echocardiogram, biopsies, etc he had surgery in Oct to remove it. During a post surgical ultrasound they discovered a 1.12mm mast cell tumor hiding on the upper intestine that requires further testing.

Merrick is somewhat of a celebrity among my friends & family. Visitors ALWAYS want to hang with Merrick and get a sample of his kisses & cuddles. Many have been witness to his somersaults on command, his chasing them down for treats, and other silly antics of his. The bond he has with his humans and fur-sister Sage is truly one-of-a-kind, and life could never feel the same without him.

Its extremely humbling to look to others for any help. Much of the tests & treatment & surgery were paid for out of my savings, and he has a CT scan, more bloodwork, and potentially chemo or surgery coming. Every penny is crucial at this moment for him and can save his life.
