Merry Christmas is a 14-year-old Mixed in Melbourne , FL, who needs $1,000 for a Tooth Root Abscess and Oro-Nasal Fistula.

On the way to the grocery store I stopped by the rescue and the was a small older dog that no one else wanted. Because she had spent so much time at the rescue she was getting ready to be put down. Seems no one wanted an elderly dog but that just what I wanted. I adopted her that minute. We were best friends . My wife named her Merry Christmas.

Everybody loves Merry Christmas. But Merry is mostly attached to me because she is with me all day. Everyday Merry and I go out and take care of our 13 chickens, She waits for me at the door while I do my outside morning chores. We then go back in and I warm up her breakfast and we both have breakfast. Merry loves it when we have family get togethers. She get a lot of attention from all.

I am a disabled retired veteran living on a fixed income. Between my mortgage and trying to keep a car on the road I live from month to month. She means everything to me. She is my best friend and I feel I am hers. We are truly connected. I would be lost without her.

Merry came to me with oral problems, The Vet first treated her with antibiotics. A year later and I noticed her mouth starting to swell. I took her back to Dr Bowden at the Animal Medical Clinic in Melbourne Florida. They put her on Meloxicam and Onsior with a diagnosis of Tooth root abscess and Oro-Nasal Fistula. She is scheduled for surgery Thursday Oct 15th.

What Merry truly loves is going to pet friendly stores. The store she really likes is my local Bass Pro. She loves to watch the fish in the giant fish tank. She has her small bed in the shopping cart that she sits on to watch the fish. If I'm forced to leave Merry at home we push the chair up to the window and she sits there and waits for me to come home.
