Mia was 5 years old when she came to live with me. She wasn’t potty trained so they left her outside with 2 big dogs. She is now potty trained and lives with me, alone.

Truly the most grateful baby I’ve ever had. She doesn’t bark or bite and loves people! My sweet girl sleeps in my bed , but lately she’s chosen to go sleep on couch arm. I think the position helps her breathe better.

Nothing makes her happier than going for a r-i-d-e! She loves walks but really can handle about a 1/4 block slowly. The way she looks at you when you call her name , melts me. So much love in her heart- even though it’s killing her slowly.

Mia has a heart murmur and also is in congestive heart failure. She takes a Salix and enalipril. She needs vetmedin added and a chest X-ray to determine which later stage of heart failure she’s in. She also needs her blood work to make sure liver and kidneys are ok from taking her medicines for last 6 mths. Caddo animal hospital in Shreveport is treating her now and Dr. Davis is a great vet.

I’m struggling just to be able to keep roof over my head and a way to get around. I’ve been using money for my prescriptions to get Mia’s instead. I don’t want her suffering more than she is because I can’t come up with funds for her urgent care.
