Mia is a 11-year-old Husky Beagle Mix in Hickory, NC, who needs $575 for Insulin injections for Diabetes.

Mia had been part of our family for 11 years, as we rescued her from a home that was going to bring pups to the shelter. She is a loyal, sweet, friendly dog whom loves sunning herself outside and enjoys her ears rubbed! She was just diagnosed with diabetes recently and will twice daily doses of insulin. She is a fur baby who should live a good quality of life for the rest of her years ❤️🐾s☀️

Mia loves cuddles from all who enter her home, walks around the neighborhood and bedtime with her favorite humans. She is loyal, gentle and “talks” to the neighbors when they water their gardens! I can’t imagine life without her so we are trying to take the best care of her so she continues to live a happy, safe, healthy life for the rest of her doggie years with us.

Mia like to “chat” and howl when you speak to her, she also smiles and shows her love for you, licking you and wagging her happy tail! She enjoys laying in the lake, scrambled eggs and peanut butter on her apples for a special treat! She is loved by many and is a good protector of us. We love her dearly and she loves us back unconditionally too.

Very recently, Mia developed diabetes. We were advised by vet to give two insulin injections daily to help regulate her sugar, she had lost a considerable amount of weight from her condition. We love Mountain View Vet where she gets all of her care. The staff is always kind, compassionate and loving. We know Mia is in good hands there.

This had been a serious unexpected financial need to endure, but have to care for our sweet Mia so she can live her best life as an endocrine dog, She’s counting on us to help her any way we can so she can live a normal life, just with an autoimmune disease.
