About this campaign

Mia is a sweet Chihuahua who travelled cross country from Mexico to Omaha, NE. Her life has not been easy, as her previous owners did not treat her well. She only recently learned about belly pets (and now demands them). Mia is a Velcro dog who is always on the lookout for a treat. She is also such a little menace, who barks at us to turn off the lights if we dare to stay up past her bedtime.

Recently, we learned that Mia has patella femoral disease, something very common in small dogs. However, hers is pretty severe in one leg and is actively causing pain. She cannot jump onto the bed as well as she used to, and when she walks her knees skip. She has already gone through so much in her life. It breaks my heart to see her in pain. She deserves to live the best life possible.

Mia is a persnickety little Chihuahua. She is very particular with who she likes, but if she likes you, she will demand belly pets and snuggles. She also has the most hilarious face when she’s scratching an itch. She likes to be spooned at night and take naps with me. Her favorite person is my mom. Her nick name is Mimi or Mimi bear.

This was a sudden thing, and has left me without the time needed to finance an almost 5000 dollar operation. I want to see Mia pain free and back to her old self.
