Hi! I’m Ashlee, Mia’s mom! Mia has a human brother who is 6, and a grouchy older dog sister, who is 9. We reside in Rowlett, and have lived here for 4 years. I work from home, so Mia is normally joined to my hip!

Mia was adopted in September 2022 after my 17 yr old dog passed. She was brought in to be a companion to my son, but she’s turned out to be so much more. She’s the sweetest dog who Ives anyone she comes in contact with. She so patient, and loving, and protective. She loves her brother and will play with him for a little while, but Mom is her favorite!

Mia was filled with surprises when she was adopted. She knows very basic commands, and surprised all of us by showing us she can open all the doors in our apartment! She loves to play fetch and chase bunnies as much as she can. She also loves walks, playing with other dogs, and dressing up.

When Mia was adopted, I was told that they had problems adopting her out due to an engorged teet she has, which was not an issue for me. Lately, the teet has been bothering her, and the vet at Rowlett Veterinary Clinic suggests removal, just to be safe.

I am a single mother who works, but also cares for my household entirely by myself. All expenses are on my shoulders. This surgery is not covered by insurance due to the engorged teet was on her before I adopted her.
