Micah is a 6 year old Mix-Breed in N Ft. Myers, FL, who needs $1,600 for Eye Enucleation.

Micah is a rescue. We adopted him in New York. We have since moved to Florida.I had just retired and my kids decided to take me to some shelters to look for a dog. We had lost our previous dog about a year prior. When I saw Micah it was love at first sight. Those eyes! He was such a sweet timid boy. Went home talked to my husband and set up a meet for him. We adopted him that night!!!

In late April we took Micah to urgent care for what we thought was an eye infection. Micah is currently seen by his regular vet @Viscaya-Prado Veterinary Hospital and an ocular specialist @Animal Eyes Guys. The infection turned out to be glaucoma with a rare fungal infection. Micah is now blind in his left eye and requires surgery to remove the eye. This is a painful/emotional journey for Micah

Micah truly rescued us. He came to us at a very difficult time in our lives. He is an absolute joy. He loves everyone he meets,whether they are pets or humans. I was able to talk to his foster- she loved his smile. He currently has 2 feline siblings that he loves dearly. He puts the best in best friend. He loves his family as much as we love him. He's a playful goofy boy! He still smiles

Due to some unexpected, yet necessary home repair issues. We have all but depleted our savings. Micah's monthly visits and medications have depleted the rest. We have been told that this infection can spread if his eye is not removed. We need help to get him healthy again
