Mika is a 12-year-old Tabbie Cat in Minneapolis, MN, who needs $1,000 for Eye Issue and Blood Work.

Mika came to us from a post on Craigslist back in 2016. Although the process of rehoming seemed to stress her out, she was comfortable and exploring within a day of us bringing her home. She was said to be about 7 when we got her but her high energy and kitten like disposition made us wonder if she was younger than the estimate.

In our hose we joke that Mika must have been a failed ESA pet before we got her, as she is incredibly in tune with everyone she meets. If you are sad, you can bet Mika is going to climb up to hang out with you until you feel better. She never bites, hisses or gets mad at anyone, and would rather spend her day sleeping on her moms lap during work than alone in her cat bed.

Mika is constantly chirping and having conversations with everyone in the house, especially around feeding time. Her voice is so unique we joke that she must have been a crooner in a past life.

Mika started displaying alarming symptoms that seemed to have something to do with her eye, which has not been responding to early treatment. It has continued to get more cloudy and may need to be removed. A lump has been found on her neck as well that will require treatment.

We just want our girl to be healthy again, and with the current recession and immediate need to address her situation, getting the money together to get her taken care of has taken its toll.
