Miles is a 15-year-old Labrador in Columbia, MO, who needs $1,500 for Bi-Lateral Cataract Removal.

We adopted Miles from the shelter here in Columbia, MO when he was 8 weeks old. He lives with us still and is loved. He is a very well behaved dog who loves people as well as other dogs. He has a fenced in area outside of our apartment that he really enjoys. We are very happy that he is fortunate enough to have this procedure.

He loves to play tug -o war, fetch, and catch. Miles is the less rambunctious of the two, as he has a younger brother pictured in one of our photos. Miles loves to sleep in and cuddle. He also is the best behaved about promptly going to his kennel when called. His little brother is the stubborn one in that regard.

He always comes when called. Miles is never unhappy. Even through losing his vision he has continued to wow us with his good behavior and always happy smile. Lately Miles has developed this random look around when he hears his named called. It should not be so cute because he literally can't see, but it is truly adorable.

Miles recently started to display sign of vision loss. Upon realizing we immediately got him an appoitnment. He has been diagnosed with bilateral cataracts. Surgery is schedule for August 11. We are simply asking for any donations that could lessen our final loan amount. We will truly appreciate anything, and are exhausting all efforts.

The surgery is estimated almost 5,000 in total including all costs. As an elementary teacher and CNA we do not have the money upfront. We are willing to take the debt, just hoping to decrease the amount we will need to ultimately finance.
