About this campaign
Milky was born in my sister's closet along with his other siblings. Out of all of the kittens, he was the clumsiest and would always walk into walls or fall into his food bowl even as a wee little one. My sister soon adopted him and I became a cat aunt. My sister since she is a single mom to my niece and is a low-income household but even so she has manage to spoil Milky and love him deeply.
He's a big goofball and we often catch him doing strange things, like drinking out of the faucet even if it means he wets his head. He loves to sleep in tents so his bedroom is a mini-tent. He is loyal and loves to wait by the window or door and always howls his head off when you approach. He is the sidekick to my 8YO niece and often you can find him at her feet even in the bathroom.
He is just the most gentle and funniest cat. We often joke that he was born with two brain cells but with the biggest heart. He has a habit of stealing socks and bringing them into his mini-tent. He's also a proud dad and currently lives with his daughter cat Salem, whom he dotes on by overgrooming her until she gets annoyed.
Milky was diagnosed with diabetes after falling unexpectedly ill within 24 hours. He's been diagnosed with fatty liver syndrome which has caused problems. So far he has received an IV for fluids, a plasma transfusion, and feeding tubes. We hope he recovers and comes home. When he first arrived at the vet he wasn't moving or awake. A day has passed and he is alert and awake so he's a fighter!
My sister has a disability (suffering from severe asthma made worse by covid) and is a dedicated stay-at-home mom to her daughter. Because of this, I'm the sole provider and I'm offering to cover 60% of a 7K bill but need assistance to reunite my family with their furbaby.
