About this campaign
Millie joined our family because someone was giving her away. I received an email from a friend that was forwarded with Millies picture on it that said they were looking to re home her. I knew from looking at her that she would be a great sister to our dog Bindy. At the same time my daughter was struggling with anxiety and depression. I felt that Millie would be a good therapy animal for her.
We have had Millie for 10 years and she has been a wonderful dog. She is loving and playful, and a great snuggler! She also can always tell when my daughter is having an anxiety attack and needs a companion. Her favorite food is pizza and she loves to play with Twinkie the cat. She loves to play fetch with stuffed animals and her cuddle on her frog blanket.
Millie loves to play in the snow. If it’s snowing she will spend hours outside just watching the snow fall. She loves people food and is very sneaky at getting it off the counter! Her favorite food is pizza. She also has a very unique smile whenever you come through the door. She will always greet you and love on you.
Millie has a rare autoimmune disease where her body is eating her red blood cells. She needs blood transfusions and steroid treatment if we want her to live. Right now, she is so weak so she cannot walk or eat. The treatment is very expensive and my daughter will be devastated if we don’t at least try to cure her.
Millie had a similar illness 6 years ago where she also needed blood transfusions that costed a lot of money. But she survived and has been living a healthy life. This time we do not have any emergency fund to pay for our family member to get better. We love her so much.
