About this campaign

Millie is our 6½-year-old rescue pup, adopted in 2019 with her brother Hunter. From the start she was my soul dog, always by my side. She now lives her best life on our 4-acre homestead—running with her dog brothers, helping collect eggs, guarding her human siblings, and curling up in the bathtub. Diagnosed with epilepsy in 2020, she continues to shine with love and loyalty.

In 2020, Millie was diagnosed with epilepsy and has bravely managed the disease ever since. Recently, she developed a serious medical issue that is causing her daily pain and beginning to affect her quality of life. She now needs surgery at MedVet Worthington, where doctors believe this could be cancer. Surgery is critical to give her the best chance at recovery, but the cost is far too much.

Millie is my only girl pup and became my best friend after losing my childhood German Shepherd. As a puppy, she even slept on my pillow on top of my head. She “talks” when you throw her ball, runs for hours, follows me everywhere, and won’t go outside unless I go with her—she’s my shadow, my soul dog, and my best friend.

We’re two young parents with two kids and a small homestead. I’ve just had surgery myself, and we barely have anything extra. Vets don’t offer payment plans for this type of procedure, and it breaks our hearts that we can’t cover Millie’s care on our own.
