About this campaign
Milo was given to me by my sister around eight weeks of age. He was the runt of the litter and was blessed with the cutest short legs. He was born July 1st and is going to be four years old this coming July. He lives with me and my eight year old son. He has some kitty siblings that like to keep on his toes.
He’s definitely one of a kind and a huge part of our family and neighborhood. He is our bus stop doggo. Every morning he runs to greet all the kids with a huge doggie smile on his face. He gets all the pets and the kids get all the kisses. Seems like a win/win for everyone. He loves walks, paddle boarding, and fetch.
I’m a single parent and was laid off due to Covid-19. It hurts to know I can’t afford this surgery on my own because of no foreseeable income in the near the future. It kills me every day to know there’s something that can help my fur baby feel better but it’s out of reach.
Unfortunately our curious little adventurer escaped and managed to get out on one of our busy roads here late at night. He was struck by a vehicle. We took him to the Destin Animal Clinic. They checked him out and took X-rays and concluded his hip was popped out of place and some minor abrasions. They tried to pop it back in but it won’t stay so he’ll need surgery.
Milo definitely is a character. With his short legs and stout body he definitely has comical features especially when running for a ball. Everyone comments how he looks just like Falkor from The Never Ending Story. He loves on everyone who walks through the door. Adores the attention. He always walks around with a huge smile on his face.
