About this campaign
I rescued him from a friend who had to rehome Milo because of allergies. I’ve had him for 5years. I am a single person in nyc who just purchased my first home last year. He and i live together alone in my home. He wakes me up in the morning and goes to bed with me at night. When weather is nice he likes to go out on the leash and explore the neighborhood or park.
Milo is my best friend. I work from home the last several years and we are inseparable. In the past he has gone on vacation with me and currently travels with me when i occasionally have to travel for work. I struggle with depression and anxiety and days when i don’t want to get up, he is the reason i get up. I got another place because i was living in a basement apt without many windows.
He is special because he is so affectionate. He lies next to me in bed all the time. He lays on top of my chest. He sighs when things don’t go his way. And he’s super curious. He loves to sniff all foods but won’t eat them. And always explores when we go to another home. He loves looking at birds and is very possessive of his home from stray cats.
He has thrown up once a year, chronically for the last few years. I went to the vet because it was accompanied by diarrhea this time and the vet believes it’s Inflammatory Bowel Disease. I need to get an ultrasound and possibly a biopsy. Milo already has skin allergies that I’ve been treating the last 3yrs with dialysis medication.
I’m a single person with one income and the responsibility of a home in NYC. It is already a financial stress to cover his dermatology expenses but now with all these very expensive tests to find out what is going on in his digestive system. I cannot afford this.
