About this campaign
My name is Robin, my fur baby's name is Milo. She is a 6yr old calico tabby. Six years ago my daughter brought her home wrapped in a sweat shirt. Milo was so tiny and very frightened. She came from a family whose 2 indoor cats had a litter of 4 kittens, Milo was 9 weeks old. I believe Milo was the runt of the litter.
Milo is an indoor cat and has been healthy up until June of this year 2022. She and I live in a one bedroom apartment. Milo the little diva believes all the living room furniture belongs to her. She can always be found laying around in positions looking like she is doing a photo shoot for a cat magazine.
Milo is very comical and a definite little diva. Very chatty at times and quite rude when she doesn't want to be bothered. She sits with her back to me at times and I know what that means. "Don't talk to me and don't pet me". That usually only lasts for 5- 10 minutes or so.
Milo follows me around the apartment most of the time and loves watching me in the kitchen.
In June 2022, I noticed Milo wasn't eating much. By the 2nd day Milo stopped eating and drinking altogether. She was hiding and very weak. I thought she was dying. She received emergency care at Central Hospital for Veterinary Medicine in Guilford CT. Then followed up at VCA New London with Dr Italia, and is currently being seen there. Dr. Italia is kind, but unable to diagnose the issue.
I am disabled and my only monthly income is SSI. It's heartbreaking seeing Milo in distress not getting the care she needs as I am unable to afford it. I can't imagine not having her here with me.
