I met Milo in 2015 in the midst of my addiction and have been best friends ever since. I have been sober for 9 months and we are enjoying every minute together. Milo and I had shared a home with multiple cats and since then we are now living in an apartment and he now has a sister named MuMu. My son Ethan who is 5 loves him too.

Milo and I are really close, he is my first boy. At first Milo wasn't sure about his sister Mumu but now she is his best friend and they play well together as she brings out the young side of Milo. Milo is very patient with my young son and will let him know when he is uncomfortable with how his younger brother acts.

Milo was the friendly face to see and helped me not feel lonely when I was struggling during my addiction. Now that I am sober we spend a lot of time together and he is still a great companion and we love spending time together. Right now he makes the home special because without him we wouldn't feel connected as a family.

I learned last week that Milo has a fractured canine tooth. The vet said it had to come out as it could cause so many health issues for him at this age. He appears to be in discomfort as he will lay on his cat nip stuffie and will press his side of the mouth that hurts on my hand. He is just not wanting as much of the love and pets as he used to.

I am currently unemployed and trying to get my life completely on track with raising my son and managing my sobriety. I am eventually going to get back into the work life but I want to be successful and not lose the happiness I have been finding.
