Over the past few months, I came to suspect an elderly neighbor has been struggling to care for Milo. Saturday, another neighbor found Milo roaming on the street in bad shape and brought him to me knowing I had helped him in the past. After speaking with the owner, I was made aware that the owner had surgery recently and cannot care for Milo. I took over his care on Saturday 8/26.

Milo was found with a wound on his leg that needs to get looked at that was actively bleeding (the wound was triaged), several small hot spots on his body, and a flea infestation. The owner could not provide any veterinary information. We purchased flea treatment out-of-pocket however he needs labs, vaccinations, his wound checked, and flea/tick/heartworm prevention medication.

Milo is super sweet and amazing with the kids. He wants to cuddle with them all day and our current puppy mars is obsessed with him. We need to get him healthy so the besties can be reunited!

Due to the emergency nature of Milo coming to us, we were unprepared for the financial aspect of his emergency care. We are just trying to get everything he needs ASAP so that he can get healthy again and also to keep our other dog safe since Milo’s veterinary history is unknown.
