We are heartbroken to share that sweet Mini Donut has sadly passed away.
Mini Donut’s time with us was far too short, but we are incredibly grateful that his final days were spent surrounded by people who fought for him, cared for him, and made sure he knew love. From the moment he was pulled from the shelter, his rescue did everything they could to give this tiny boy the chance he deserved.
To everyone who donated, shared his story, and rooted for Mini Donut, thank you. Your kindness helped support the care he needed and gave his rescue the ability to fight for him when he needed them most.
Although this is not the ending any of us hoped for, Mini Donut mattered. He was loved, and he will be deeply missed.

Just hours ago, tiny Mini Donut was at the Animal Care Center and at risk of being euthanized. With very little time to act and without yet knowing the full extent of his medical needs, NY Cat Warriors moved quickly to pull him and give him a chance.
Mini Donut is incredibly small and looks like he has had a rough start. He may need intensive medical care, and right now, the priority is keeping him safe, nourished, and closely monitored while his veterinary team determines exactly what he needs.
One of NY Cat Warriors’ experienced fosters immediately rearranged things at home to make room for Mini Donut and provide the hands on care such a vulnerable kitten needs.
And this little guy is already showing everyone just how sweet he is.
Mini Donut is being bottle fed by his foster and seems to have a healthy appreciation for mealtime. He has also discovered one of his favorite things: chin rubs. After everything he has just been through, it’s wonderful to see him safe, eating, and soaking up affection.
Getting Mini Donut safely out of the shelter was only the beginning. NY Cat Warriors now needs help covering his veterinary care as they work to understand his condition and determine what treatment he may need.
When a tiny life is on the line, there isn't always time to have all the answers before stepping in. Sometimes rescue means saying yes first and figuring out the rest once they're safe.
Just hours ago, Mini Donut's future was uncertain. Now he's safe, being bottle fed, enjoying chin rubs, and surrounded by people determined to give him every opportunity to get stronger.
