About this campaign
I was made aware of Minnie’s situation from a coworker. Who said the dog was living with someone who didn’t want her and she needed a home. My girlfriend friend and I have an Australian Shepherd that we wanted to bring to meet her. When we arrived to meet Minnie it was obvious she was not being attended to as feces littered the apartment. We then decided it was right for us to take her.
When we took Minnie into our care she was lethargic, scared, and couldn’t hold her weight on her hind legs. The next morning we took her to get radiographs and a check up. She was malnourished, underweight, and has a fractured femur. She has received pain meds and a splint. But we would like to pursue surgery at Washington State Veterinary Hospital or the Intermountain Pet Hospital. Estimated$4000
I met Minnie 2 days ago and this sweet puppy deserves nothing but to have the best quality of life she can get. She is an extremely intelligent and curious German Shepherd/ Great Pyrenees. She shows signs of aggression from mistreatment but I know she just needs to be given time to rebuild trust in humans.
My girlfriend and I live together in an apartment with our 1 year old Australian Shepherd. We took Minnie in because we want her to be apart of our family but we were not ready to be covering a fractured femur. We will need assistance on the majority of the cost
