Minnie arrived in our lives via the Urban Cat Coalition in September 2019. I was looking for a cat that would be a loving pet to our three young daughters. When I read Minnie's bio she was described as spunky and sassy - exactly how I would describe my three beautiful daughters! Meeting Minnie was love at first sight. She is the perfect furry friend to compliment our girl gang.

We always laugh at how Minnie must be part dog. She plays fetch with my daughters and even playfully chases them up their bunkbeds at night, sending them into fits of laughter. She can hear the treat bag shake from a mile away and my girls love to spoil her with hug, kisses and treats. Even my husband, who was not sure about a cat at first, has affectionate nicknames for her. She's a catch!

As a one income family every expenditure is carefully calculated. We never imagined that our nearly two year old cat would be in need of a $3600 - $5600 life saving surgery so early in her life. We are hoping to gather some donations to help us afford surgery.

Minnie began throwing up about two weeks ago. At first we thought it was just hairballs but we quickly realized it was something more. After a visit to WVRC, Dr. Mayhew informed us that Minnie has foreign material in her stoma and GI tract - likely due to her affinity for eating the tags off my girls' stuffed animals.

Above all, Minnie is so tolerant of my girls. When we first brought her home my girls would love to pick her up and carry her around like a baby. Not once did she scratch, yell or react. One of the coolest things about Minnie is that she always loves to be around people. Whenever we have company people always remark what a friendly cat she is.
