Mirri is a 10 month old Mix-Breed in Sarasota, FL, who needs $5,000 for Orthopedic Surgery.

Mirri was found after being abandoned on the side of the road. She was taken in by urgent Foster’s who quickly fell in love and adopted her. She now lives with two other dogs and is the sweetest and most loving dog despite her background.

When she was found, it was clear she had something wrong with her hind legs. After multiple vet visits, she was found to have Grade IV patellar luxation in both hind legs likely from being kept in a kennel unable to move her legs enough to grow properly. She is now waiting on further testing and surgery at the University of Florida animal hospital.

Despite the difficulties in her hind legs, her puppy energy shines. She loves to play with her siblings and toys as well as snuggling in bed after her parents moved the bed to floor for her to join. She sits like a frog and is always close near her parents and her siblings at home.

The surgery needed for Mirri’s legs is an extensive cost with the need of testing and speciality surgeons. Mirri pulled on our heart the second we saw her and we had to give her a safe home but the surgery she needs is more than we had thought with the unexpected adoption.
