Miso Was Found on the Roadside, Terrified and Broken- She Needs Surgery to Remove Her Severely Injured Eye

When rescuers found Miso lying helpless on the roadside, she was in unimaginable pain. One of her eyes was badly injured and protruding, and she was too weak and frightened to move. It was heartbreaking to see such suffering in this gentle soul. Fortunately she was rescued by Baw Baw Animal Welfare so she could get he care she desperately needed.

Miso’s fight to survive is far from over. Her condition remains fragile—her white blood cell count is dangerously high, showing infection, and she’s also battling anemia. She’s already undergone surgery to repair a fractured jaw, but her damaged eye will need to be removed once she’s strong enough.

For now, Miso is receiving IV treatments and carefully administered oral liquids to keep her hydrated and nourished. The veterinary team is monitoring her closely, doing everything possible to ease her pain and help her heal.
