Miso came into my life two years ago from a former colleague who volunteered with the Ferndale Catfe - Ferndale Cat Shelter. I was looking to adopt a cat to keep me company during a tough emotional time in my life and it turned out Miso was in need of the same--a calm quiet household with a person who could give her lots of attention. As they say, it was a match made in heaven!

Miso is the queen of the household. She is a very shy kitty and doesn't like to be around other people. She enjoys relaxing in different spots in the home during the day and will come running over to me when she notices that it is time for me to relax--ahem, time for her to be pet! She is also a vocal cat, giving different meows.

I lost my job several months ago and have little emergency savings for these type of unexpected expenses. It is a priority to me to keep my pet healthy even amid my financial crisis.

When I look Miso for her annual exam, I found out that she needs to get a tooth extracted. This process is a minor surgery and has an estimated cost of $500. Miso is a super cuddler. She loves to cuddle up with me when I'm relaxing on the couch or in bed after a long day. She wants attention when she wants it! She will paw at me if I stop petting her for even a second. Other times, she likes to find places to hide. Her secret spot is under the bed. She crawls over some stuff to get to the exact middle where no one can find her!
