Missy is a 2-year-old Mixed Chihuahua in Afton, NY, who needs $2,000 for Diagnosis and Treatment.

We have had Missy about 2 years now. She was the runt of the last litter her mom had. She is a mixed breed but is mainly chihuahua. She was supposed to go to a relative when she was born but they were unable to have her so we decided to keep her. Missy is a really sweet girl and we are hoping you all can help her.

Missy is a really shy and submissive around new people. She loves playing with the other dogs we have. She also loves to chase the cat on occasion. When she finally tires herself out Missy loves to curl up next to the very cats she was chasing earlier and fall asleep. She is a bit of an instigator though.

Missy has the cutest bark. It is more like a howl. And it is deeper then you would figure for her size. She loves to run up to you and ask for pets but when you bend down to pet her she rolls onto her back. Missy refuses to eat from the dish. she will get a mouthful of food and take it to the couch and eat it there.

On 4/12/23 Missy was on the back of the recliner and one of the other dogs knocker her off. She fell the floor and instantly started to yip in pain. You could tell it was broken by the way it just dangled there. Missy was in so much pain when she moved that we had to immobilize the leg as best we could. We have spent most of last night and all of today trying to find a vet willing to see her.

We are on a fixed income. I get Social Security and I can't afford the money the vets want up front to see her. There is noway I can afford the $6000+ to fix the leg. The best i can hope for is enough to have it amputated at the break.
