Mister is an 8-year-old Dachshund/Beagle mix in Acworth, GA, who needs $1,996 for spinal surgery.

We came upon Mister from an ad on Craig’s list in 2013. A nice guy found him as a stray but after extensively trying to find his original owners he couldn’t keep him any longer. We needed a playmate for our other dog Penny and it was love at first sight. The guy who found him temporarily named him Oreo, but the name just didn’t feel right as I had a cat growing up by that name. Mister was chosen as a homage to Dr. Who. Just as we never know the Doctor’s name and call him (now her) by his title, Greg and I thought it fitting that since we did not know his given name that the title Mister (Mister who? Get it?) would be the perfect way to respect the unknown past owners' time with him.
