About this campaign

This is my little girl, Misty. She is a miniature wire- haired dachshund which I rescued 7 years ago. she is 9 years old now, and has been suffering badly from IVDD symptoms. We live alone together in a small 1 bedroom subsidized rental apartment in Danbury . Connecticut. I am on a fixed, Social Security only, income.

I have been advised by 2 different veterinary hospitals that she should have an MRI done on her back to prepare for IVDD surgery. The first vet was Mill Plain Veterinary hospital and the second vet is Northside VCA. They are both located in Danbury , Connecticut.

Misty brings joy to everyone she meets. She expects everyone, including strangers, to be her best friend and I have to try to explain to her that not everyone is a dog lover. To quote Stevie Wonder, she is "the sunshine of my life".

Again, I receive only Social Security benefits as income , so financing of an MRI and then IVDD surgery is very tough for me to figure out . I am 77 years old, so i know that Misty will most likely to be my last dog, and I can't imagine living without her.
