My sweet Misty girl came into my life on August 1st, 2020. My family had to put down our family cat of 16 years just a month prior and we were devastated. A family friend from church reached out and said she could no longer care for her pet cat as her health had taken a turn. We asked- is she a nice cat? And the rest is history! We picked her up and immediately fell in love!

Misty is an absolute snuggle bug. Her most favorite place to sleep or to be in general is on someone's lap. She likes chin scratches and ear rubs from any family member. She will take any lap she can get her cute little paws on. She likes to meow at her family members as they pass by the basement, attempting to entice them to come downstairs to snuggle!

Misty is special because she acts like a person! She will have a whole conversation with you in meows, complete with emphatic inflection! She absolutely hates car rides and will inform you of such every 15 seconds, the entire car ride. She is excellent at shepherding her mama down the stairs to her room to beg for dry food and a cuddle on the bed.

My sweet Misty was diagnosed with cancer on July 10th. We are devastated as we have only had 3 years with her and we love her so so much. She is being treated and her estimate for diagnosis/medication/boarding overnight is already $2000. That is not including any additional medication or surgery to treat the cancer or keep her comfortable at home.
