Mittens is 17 years old and has been a part of our family since he was 7 1/2 weeks old. 2 years ago my husband passed away on May 30th. I am disabled and on a very limited income. My Dad moved in my house last year because of health issues. He is 80 years old with Congestive heart failure, stage 3 kidney disease and COPD. Mittens became his best friend. They are inseparable.

Mittens had stomatitis at 7 yrs old and had to get all his teeth removed. He also has a heart murmur. He has chronic respiratory issues and requires antibiotics, blood work and exams approx. every 2 months. He currently has nasal discharge, sneezing and is losing weight rapidly. Blue Mountain Animal Hospital located in Orwigsburg, PA. has been treating him for the past few years.

Mittens is such a lover. He cuddles with my Dad and keeps him company all day. They need each other as they fight their health problems together. When my Dad is sick in the hospital, Mittens lays on the window sill waiting for him to come home. My Dad asks me to video call him when he is in the hospital so he can see Mittens. They truly are inseparable.

I am on disability with an income of $940. I am struggling to pay my bills for everything. I am behind on property taxes. I am on food stamps and receive $154 a month. My car has 218,000 miles the transmission just went on it. I cannot afford much of anything.
