Mitzi Everest is healing from surgery and needs your help to cover the cost!

Found limping and in a world of pain deep in Texas, Mitzi was hanging on by a thread and in so much pain she could hardly bear it for much longer. Given that she was only about a year old...her situation was devastating. Her gentle nature tells us she belonged to someone once, but where those people are now, we don’t know. We also have no idea how she got injured—maybe that’s why she was abandone

Sadly, it wouldn’t be the first time someone has dumped an animal as soon as they became anything less than perfectly healthy. We took Mitzi in, determined to give her the second chance she deserves. We brought her to the hospital, where X-rays revealed the true extent of her injuries: she needs a double MPL (medial patellar luxation) surgery.

This is a complex and costly procedure, estimated at $2,700 plus the cost of medications.
Without this surgery, Mitzi will continue to struggle with pain, unable to run, walk, or play like a happy young dog should. This sweet girl has so much life left to live, and we’re committed to giving her that chance. But we need your help to make it happen.
