Miwa is a 8 year old Siberian Husky in Sacramento, CA, who needs $2,000 for Heart-worm Treatment Injection (Melarsomine).

Miwa is a Japanese name I acquired from an old kids TV show called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The name means beauty and harmony which is a perfect reflection of Miwa’s nature. She is so kind, and she balances our family with her high loving spirit. Miwa came into our lives in January 2016 as a Christmas gift. My brothers and I made a commitment to provide her with the best possible life.

Unfortunately, Miwa’s family is a financially struggling family. Recently, she was diagnosed with heart-worms. She has been showing signs of lethargy and coughing. My baby girl has never had any other health issues until now. It breaks my heart that the medication is available, but not affordable to us. I beg and pray that kind souls out there will help us save her deserving life.

My dog has a little sister Maltese named Cokita, and they are inseparable. If one is without the other they will throw a tantrum. Cokita has been learning from the most dramatic type of dog there is, and it’s often hilarious. July 4th is one of Miwa’s favorite holidays because she gets to eat burgers and hot dogs. She also loves to chase fireworks, and she even tries to dance to the music.

I am a full time student looking for a part time job. I’ve been turned down 3x due to my student status. Miwa is my priority right now, if I can’t raise the funds I need to cover for her care, I may need to drop out of college so I can work a high-paying, full-time position.
