MJ is a 2-year-old Husky Chow Chow Mix in Hyde Park, MA, who needs $1,500 for Eye Removal Surgery.

Mj is a rescue from Rhode Island ! After my husband and I miscarried our daughter we knew we wanted to give our 3 year old boy AJ a sibling. We searched many rescues here in Massachusetts, and stumbled upon MJ who at the time was named blue. Our entire family actually ended up dressing in all blue attire to go pick her up from Rhode Island. Since that day she finally completed our family.

Mj is such a character and diva to say the least! She is for sure a creature of habit. She loves her toys in her designated area, along with her treats! She and my mother are just two peas in a pod. Mj loves spending time with her grandparents and is the most playful girl in the world. She will always bring one of her toys to a family member to play with her!

Ironically what we loved about MJ was her eyes, she has one split eye and at the time this beautiful pure brown eye. It was captivating the minute my husband and I saw her. I always say if MJ could talk, she would. She communicated with her paws, and what I call her nudges and barks. She acts like the most spoiled diva, and rightfully so because she is the queen of our castle.

MJ's retina has de-attached from her brown eye. She is completely blind in that way, and at this time there is no certain answer why. Her doctor feels it may be genetics, but until her eye is removed there is no clear answer. Other than her eye issue, she is in perfect health.

Unfortunately I am disabled so my income is incredibly limited. I don't even make enough monthly to even cover half of her surgery expenses. MJ and AJ are both my lifelines. They are one of the main reasons I wake up and keep going. I love them both more than myself at times
