MJ is my 13-year-old indoor cat and a beloved member of our family. He lives with me, my boyfriend, and our other cat, JJ. He is affectionate, loves to cuddle, and follows me from room to room. He has been my constant companion through life’s hardest moments and is deeply loved.

MJ was hospitalized at Akeso Veterinary Clinic after suddenly stopping eating. A veterinary radiologist diagnosed him with a functional ileus, likely related to pancreatitis or a gastrointestinal illness. He is receiving IV fluids, medications, and nutrition through a nasogastric (NG) feeding tube while his intestines recover.
