My name is Barbara and Mo is my constant companion. Mo is my fur baby. She always comes first. She is an adorable 10 year Shih Tzu. I rescued her from a domestic violence situation. 9 years ago. When she first came into my live she was very scared and anxious. Since then she has grown into a very loving and affectionate companion.

Mo thinks she is still a puppy. She loves my grandchildren. She tries to talk to my grandson Tyler. Mo snuggles up with my grandson Cody. Her favorited toy’s are her ball and her reindeer. She will play for hours with her reindeer and loves to fetch her ball. She loves her belly rubs. Mo keeps us all entertained.

I am a single senior citizen on SSI with no additional income or emergency fund due to limited income. I can not afford the $2200.00 in veterinarian bills to get her legs fixed. I can’t imagine a life with Mo. She is my therapy dog. She helps keep me from being anxious.

Mo has Luxating Petella in her hind legs. One day a smoke alarm in my apartment building went off. When I opened the door to the fireman, Mo ran out the door. She was gone for 5 hours. Everyone including the firemen were looking for her. When we found her, she was soaking wet and covered in mud and her legs were hurt. I had to hold her and rock her for hours for her to calm down.

I can’t imagine my life without Mo. She mo brings me so much happiness and joy when I am sad and down. Mo loves to be at my side. She used to stand up on her hind legs and beg for toys or treats or just to dancing around. She is not able do this now with her hurt legs, but that doesn’t stop her from trying even though she is in pain.
