About this campaign

My husband kept talking about getting a new dog and I kept telling him no. Then he came across Mojo on Craigslist. Showed me a picture and I said we are getting him. We have another dog named lucky and a cat named Pete. We also have snakes, fish, and a crested gecko. We chose Mojo’s name after a long list of names and finally decided Mojo was the one when he responded to it with bark.

Mojo sustained a traumatic injury to the eye resulting in a corneal rupture. Without treatment, the eye is at significant risk of losing vision permanently or requiring enucleation (removal of the eye). A veterinary ophthalmologist may be able to repair (corneal graft or conjunctival flap) with some degree of vision being preserved. However, scarring and long-term visual impairment are likely.

Mojo is more than a pet — he’s a beloved member of our family. He loves cuddling, watching movies, going on walks, and joining us on any adventure. From camping and fishing and being paddled around on a paddle board like royalty. He’s always up for a walk, a ride, or any chance to tag along wherever we go. He plays with Pete the cat and Lucky the dog, and never turns down a tortilla chip.

We’re a single-income family of 7, and a large vet bill just isn’t something we can manage right now. Mojo means the world to us, and we want to give him the care he needs, but we can’t do it alone. Any help toward his recovery means everything.
