About this campaign
Molly was a shelter rescue adopted for my daughter when the lock down began so that she would have a companion. Molly lives with 3 cats, who she likes, but they don't reciprocate the affection. She also has her older "brother," a cranky old chihuahua mix and now her new little sister, who annoys her to no end.
Molly loves the dog park, going for walks, and seeing the horses at the stables near us. She enjoys sitting in the morning sun in the back yard. Most of all, she loves chilling on the sofa with my daughter. She is obsessed with Sam's club dog jerky treats and chewing up stuff. Her favorite toy is a pink squeaky stuffed monster alien.
Our care credit is maxed out between hip surgery for our older dog in April and my emergency dental work in May. We are currently on one income because of the covid pandemic, so we don't have savings.
On February 7, 2021, Molly disappeared from our home while we were out getting groceries. We have a pet door so she can access the yard. When we arrived home, the side gate was slightly open and Molly was gone. She arrived May 1, 2021 at the Dallas Animal shelter. She had a cast on her leg and road rash when my husband retrieved her. Her leg has not healed and she needs surgery to save it.
Molly likes to greet our neighbor's dogs at the fence each day. She is very friendly with other dogs. She likes to watch animal videos on the TV and gets really animated when she hears them bark or meow. Molly likes to wake us up in the morning by giving us kisses all over the face. She's just the biggest sweetheart.
