Molly is a 12-year-old German Shepard Mix in Knoxville, TN, who needs $350 for diagnostic testing.

About 7 months after my ex-husband and I moved with our newborn son to Miramar, California (my next duty station while on active duty in the Marine Corps), we chose to adopt another dog into our little family. We already had one dog, named Lexi, and she was attached to my ex, but I wanted a dog that would grow up alongside with my son while he was young. Molly was adopted in March of 2009.

When she was still less than a year old, one night when we had decided to cook steaks and corn bread, she got on top of the counter and ate both steaks and half the cornbread before we even caught her. I blame her demanding appetite on the fact that she had gotten tape worms shortly after we brought her home from the shelter. She still like to steal steak at times.

In the past month both my dryer and oven in my home are not working properly and I’ve been trying desperately not to have to pay huge amounts to replace them. I’ve been trying to have them repaired. With those two things costing me the bit of savings , so I’m asking for help.

Recently, I discussed Molly’s current ailments with a veterinarian and they have concluded that Molly may have something neurological going on with her that has made her more lethargic, barely eat, constantly have accidents involving diarrhea that’s slimy and lots of urinary incontinence. The cost of all of the diagnostic texting would cost hundreds of dollars and we may not find a solution.

When she was in better health she loved to constantly play fetch with a ball or frisbee. She’d do it until she was completely exhausted and could barely move from the spot she would collapse at. Another thing about Molly is that in her whole life she has not once harmed me or my son, even when she has clearly had enough of my son pulling on her tail when he was about preschooler age.
