About this campaign
Molly Rose is 8 weeks old today. She was a gift to me from my baby sister, Susan (aka Runt). Molly is one of four puppies & she is “the runt”. I knew from the moment I saw her that she had to be mine. Even though it was so hard for my sister to part with her, she shared this bundle of joy with me.
Molly is so tiny & has the most beautiful eyes. Out of the four puppies she has the most spunk & always playing. Despite our short time together she is attached to me. She follows me around & loves to lay on my feet. If someone else is holding her she starts whining wanting me. And as much as my husband has always opposed dogs in the bed, she sleeps snuggled right beside me.
Before knowing I was getting Molly, I’d had a hard time with anxiety. I didn’t realize I had anxiety until most recently & knowing that Molly was going to be mine gave me so much joy. I started preparing for her right away. My daughter recently brought it to my attention that I’ve been more at ease since having Molly. I have an overwhelming since of love, joy, & peace having her near me.
My sister explained to me that Molly would throw up after each feeding. We tossed it up to her needing a little time to adjust. After she came home with me I started noticing feedings/potty habits & felt she had an obstruction of some sorts. I took her into my local vet & after an X-ray/barium contrast study it was confirmed that she had Persistent Aortic Arch defect.
Vet explained only treatment is surgery. Without this surgery my Molly won’t survive. I don’t ask for anything usually, but this is totally unexpected & needs to be done asap for her best outcome. Any size of donation is greatly appreciated.
