A few days, D&A Animal Rescue welcomed Monkey and Jelly Bean with hope and excitement and were ready to give them the loving care they deserved. Their joy quickly turned into fear when they realized something was seriously wrong. Monkey was barely able to move, and they noticed alarming symptoms, such as vaginal discharge, poor appetite, lethargy, and vomiting.

Their hearts quickly sank as they understood the severity of her condition. A visit to the vet confirmed that she had pyometra, which is a life-threatening uterine infection. The vet stressed that without immediate intervention, she could die within 48 hours, facing the risks of uterine rupture and sepsis.

Compelled by love and urgency, these tender-loving caregivers agreed to give her an emergency spay. In the same visit, Jelly Bean also required spaying and treatment for his ears.
