Monkey is a 9 year old American Pit Bull Terrier in West Milwaukee, WI, who needs $1,400 for Mast Cell Tumor Removal.

Monkey was found running in the country of NC as a 6mo pup. I pulled over and he immediately jumped in. He was skin & bones, and very very ill. We took him to the vet immediately where it showed he was positive for Parvo. With no microchip, collar, or owner we posted flyers while getting him treatment at the NC vet hospital. He survived, and no owner ever came forward. That was 8 years ago.

Monkey currently has a rapidly growing mast cell tumor on his left abdomen. His vet visit was the last of any savings, credit, etc I have and the surgery is estimated at $1500.

He isn't just a dog, he is my companion. He has been there through everything, and always has a sweet smile waiting. We are rarely apart and if so, he is very anxious waiting.

Due to my own illness now I am on disability and unable to earn any additional income. My rent is 2/3 of my monthly income, the other going to food and dog food. I cannot imagine myself with out him in it.
