Monte is a 1 year old Mix-Breed in Howell, MI, who needs $2,000 for X-Ray to Determine Problem and Follow Up Procedure.

Monte first came to us as a feral kitten. A coworker of mine found him in the road and brought him in to feed and water him. There was no sign of the mother, so she ended up keeping him. I overheard her speaking about a kitten that she needed to find a home for. Little did she know that I had been wanting to find a kitten for my oldest daughter Charlotte to because she loves everything cats!

Monte is currently not eating unless we spoon feed. Dr. Harris at The Haslett Animal Hospital has been phenomenal to work with, but we are at the point where medications and home treatments are not helping, so we have to look at more invasive procedures. We just lost our previous kitty at 19 years old due to a long struggle with kidney disease. This two-year process has drained our resources.

Monte loved our cat that we lost to kidney disease named Stewey. He would try to play with him like Stewey was a kitten, even though he was 19 years old, but they still snuggled together during naps. Our other cat Luna is a different story. Monte purposely tries to get a rise out of her by stalking her and scaring her. Then he is surprised when she beats the paws off him!

We lost our all black Mainecoon cat Stewey in March 2024. Needless to say, we spent a small fortune on medical treatments for his kidney disease, but we do not regret a single penny spent! We would love to give Monte this same treatment. He is an integral part of our family.
